Pastor for Worship and Student Ministries
Position Overview:
The Pastor for Worship and Student Ministries is a key leadership role responsible for providing guidance, support, and direction to both Worship Ministries and Student Ministries (6th-12th grade) within our congregation. This individual will play a vital role in fostering spiritual growth, worship experiences, and discipleship among our church community.
Responsibilities:
Worship Ministries:
Lead and coordinate worship services, ensuring a spiritually enriching and engaging experience for the congregation.
Oversee worship teams, including musicians, vocalists, and technical support, providing guidance and mentorship.
Collaborate with the pastoral team to integrate worship into the overall church vision and mission.
Organize and facilitate rehearsals, ensuring excellence in musical and technical aspects of worship.
Student Ministries (6th-12th grade):
Develop and implement a holistic discipleship program for students, focusing on spiritual growth, biblical understanding, and character development.
Coordinate and lead regular gatherings, events, and activities for students to foster a sense of community and connection.
Recruit, train, and support volunteers for student ministries, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
Provide pastoral care and support to students, addressing their spiritual and personal needs.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work collaboratively with other leaders and church staff to align ministries with the overall vision and goals of the church.
Effectively communicate with parents, volunteers, and the broader congregation about worship and student ministry activities.
Participate in pastoral meetings, contributing to the planning and coordination of church-wide initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s equivalent in biblical studies or a related field required. Master’s degree in biblical studies or a related field (preferred).
Demonstrated experience in leading worship services and managing worship teams.
Proven track record in ministering to students and guiding them in their spiritual journey.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative pastoral team.
