Reports to: Associate Pastor (or Lead/Senior Pastor in absence of Associate Pastor)
Hours: Approximately 6 hours/week (hours vary by season and workload)
Pay: $20–$25/hour, depending on experience
We are seeking a detail-oriented, trustworthy, and ministry-minded HR/Accounts Payable Coordinator to support our staff and financial operations.
Position Overview
The HR/Accounts Payable Coordinator provides administrative support in both financial operations and human resources. This position requires someone who is detail oriented, trustworthy, and ministry-minded. This position requires excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and problem-solving, as they support the church staff behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities
• Financial Responsibilities (Approx. 33%):
• Manage accounts payable in QuickBooks and coordinate check signing
• Reconcile Divvy credit cards
• Assist Finance Team with annual budget development as needed
• Coordinate insurance renewals, including:
• Property
• Liability
• Auto
• Umbrella
• Workers Compensation
• Obtain quotes for alternate insurance carriers as needed
Human Resources Responsibilities (Approx. 66%):
• Process bi-monthly payroll
• Manage employee time-off systems
• Process benefits changes and enrollment updates
• Coordinate retirement account and HSA contributions/distributions
• Review and update Personnel Handbook annually with Associate Pastor
• Manage onboarding for new employees, including:
• Employment paperwork
• Benefits enrollment
• Training on facilities and finance policies
• Assist with scheduling staff reviews.
• Manage annual insurance renewals, including:
• Health
• Life
• Dental
• Disability
• Research HR tools and systems (e.g., ADP) as needed
• Process Workers Compensation payroll audits
• Track benefit changes required by state/federal regulations
• Prepare annual employee notices regarding pay rate and benefits
• Complete additional tasks as assigned
Qualified candidates should demonstrate:
• A passionate devotion to Jesus Christ, reflected in personal spiritual disciplines and spiritual maturity

• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• High degree of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
Proficiency with:
• Google Workspace (Calendar, Docs, Forms, Sheets, Gmail)
• Database systems (Planning Center preferred)
• QuickBooks
• Microsoft Word and Excel
